چکیده

Modelling of coupled thermal (T), hydro (H), mechanical (M) and chemical (C) processes in geomaterials has attracted attention the past decades due to many significant contemporary engineering applications such as nuclear waste disposal, carbon capture storage etc. However, very-low permeability membrane geomaterials, couplings between osmosis their consequent influence on temperature, water transport deformation remain a long-lasting challenge gap geomechanics geochemistry. This paper extends Mixture Coupling Theory by bridging chemical-thermal field based non-equilibrium thermodynamics, develops new constitutive THMC fully-coupled model incorporating interactions osmosis. Classic Darcy's law been fundamentally extended with major driving force diffusion process. A simple numerical simulation used for demonstration purpose illustrated that will significantly change flow directions, consequently influencing saturation variation deformation.

mortality forecasting based on lee-carter model

over the past decades a number of approaches have been applied for forecasting mortality. in 1992, a new method for long-run forecast of the level and age pattern of mortality was published by lee and carter. this method was welcomed by many authors so it was extended through a wider class of generalized, parametric and nonlinear model. this model represents one of the most influential recent d...

A Nonlinear Creep-damage Constitutive Model of Mudstone Based on the Fractional Calculus Theory

During the flood development in an oil field, the creep characteristic of mudstone is one of the important factors causing casing damage. In this study, based on the theory of fractional order differential and taking into account the creep damage evolution rules, a fractional nonlinear creep-damage model is proposed to reflect the instantaneous deformation in loading processes and the accelerat...

A Constitutive Model for Sands

In this paper, an elastoplastic constitutive model is presented for predicting sandy soil behavior under monotonic and cyclic loadings. The model is based on the CJS3 model that takes into account deviatoric and isotropic mechanisms of plasticity. The flow rule in deviatoric mechanism is non-associated and a kinematic hardening law controls the evolution of the &#10yield surface. In the present...

An Anisotropic Constitutive Equation for the Stress Tensor of Blood Based on Mixture Theory

Based on ideas proposed by Massoudi and Rajagopal M-R , we develop a model for blood using the theory of interacting continua, that is, the mixture theory. We first provide a brief review of mixture theory, and then discuss certain issues in constitutive modeling of a two-component mixture. In the present formulation, we ignore the biochemistry of blood and assume that blood is composed of red ...

A Mathematical Approach to Establishing Constitutive Models for Geomaterials

Themathematical foundation of the traditional elastoplastic constitutive theory for geomaterials is presented from themathematical point of view, that is, the expression of stress-strain relationship in principal stress/strain space being transformed to the expression in six-dimensional space. A new framework is then established according to the mathematical theory of vectors and tensors, which...
